About POTD.fyi

POTD.fyi tracks daily Pick of the Day posts from Reddit's r/sportsbook community and turns them into a cleaner table for comparing picks, prices, and handicapper history. Tracked history starts on 2025-11-09.

What POTD.fyi is

POTD.fyi tracks public Pick of the Day posts from Reddit's r/sportsbook community and turns them into a searchable table for comparing picks, prices, confidence signals, and handicapper history. It is built to make grading and limitations visible, not to pretend every Reddit pick is automatically gradeable.

Data start date

Tracked POTD.fyi history starts on 2025-11-09. Capper records and rankings only reflect picks captured and graded inside this dataset.

How picks are sourced

Picks come from public r/sportsbook Pick of the Day threads. Each Reddit comment is parsed into structured fields such as sport, league, pick, units, odds, and bet type. The original Reddit comment remains the source material.

Score

Score is a 1-5 quality/completeness signal based on parse confidence, bet type, available odds, and whether the pick has enough detail to evaluate. It is not a guarantee that a pick will win.

Signal

Signal compares the pick's line and price data to the site's simple decision rules. ENTER means the pick is strongest by available data, PLAYABLE means acceptable, and PASS means the price or data is not strong enough.

Capper stats

Capper stats summarize graded, rankable picks. W/L, ROI, record, streak, average units, and average odds are meant to add context about a handicapper's historical results, not predict any single outcome.

What gets auto-graded

Auto-grading currently supports full-game moneyline, spread, and total picks for supported leagues where enough event, odds, and result data is available.

What is rankable

Rankable capper stats use graded full-game moneyline, spread, and total picks only. Leaderboard ROI, units, win rate, record, and streak exclude props, parlays, partial-game markets, unsupported sports, and no-data outcomes.

What is excluded

Props, parlays, partial-game markets, team totals, grand salami totals, unsupported sports or leagues, malformed picks, and complex markets may appear in the daily pick list but are not included in rankable capper stats.

What no_data means

no_data means the pick could not be graded with POTD.fyi's current supported markets, available odds or results data, or parsing rules. It is excluded from ROI, win rate, units, streaks, and leaderboard ranking.

Props and parlays

Parlays are detected and labeled, but parlay grading is deferred. Props and complex markets may be useful to browse, but they are not part of rankable capper performance yet.

What POTD.fyi does not do

POTD.fyi does not sell picks, place bets, guarantee results, or provide financial advice. It prioritizes transparent supported grading over hiding unsupported markets or forcing every pick into a record.
